How To Wash Nike Shoes



Use a soft brush or sponge that is been immersed in your laundry detergent solution to gently brush the shoes. Remove the shoes and soak in warm water with the laundry detergent. Remove your innersoles from your shoes and use a hot-water-detergent solution to eliminate the stains and smell.

Simply brush the cloth shoes using a solution and your toothbrush, and wipe with a paper towel to dry. If you cannot fully wash shoes (either by machine or hand), then an old toothbrush can be used to get rid of any apparent surface soiling. Use an old toothbrush to remove mud from sneakers if there are any scuffs on the surface. Remember to regularly wash the soles to remove any dirt or stones that may be hindering the shoes grip.

Give the shoes a gentle brush to first eliminate any loose soil, and then mix warm water with some detergent to create your own cleaning solution. Similar to how you would wash your Nike shoes, Adidas recommends using a soft brush to get rid of loose soil in running shoes, and then washing them by hand using a mix of detergent and water. You can also pack some moist wipes to clean up dirt or grime quickly when you are moving.

Better yet, bring some wet wipes with you, so that you can instantly wipe away any debris that gets onto your shoes when you are on the move. Before washing your shoes, do your best to be sure, and check your tags or manufacturer site for recommended cleaning steps. Keep in mind, the dirtier your shoes are, the harder they are to clean. To get your shoes ready for the washer, take off any laces and brush away any loose soil on the surface. You can use an old toothbrush for smaller areas, such as eyelets, and a big, stiff-bristled brush for the shoe itself.

Pour a little liquid detergent in the machine, then wash the shoes and shoe laces (plus the innersole) in cold water. Choose a gentle (slow/no-spin) program.
